What’s New in v1.0 Alpha
This is the first playable version of Planetia. Round 1 Alpha is the proving ground for the core gameplay loop.
Core Systems
- Planet colonization and resource production (metal, energy, research)
- Fleet construction with 6 ship types (Scout, Fighter, Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship, Colony Ship)
- Real-time fleet movement with tick-based travel time calculation
- Basic combat resolution — attacker/defender strength comparison with randomized variance
- Alliance system — form, join, and coordinate with up to 20 players
Known Limitations (Alpha)
- No research tree in this build — unlocks coming in v1.1
- Combat reports are text-only; visual battle replay coming in v1.2
- Mobile responsiveness is functional but not optimized — native apps coming in Phase 2
