What Makes Planetia Different

Four years of design focused on one goal: a space strategy game where skill and coordination beat spending and grinding.

Tick-Based Real-Time Strategy

Planetia runs in ticks — game-state updates that fire every 5 minutes. Fleet positions change. Resources accumulate. Combat resolves. Every 5 minutes, the galaxy moves forward. Players who plan their actions ahead of the tick win more than players who react to it.

Ticks create a rhythm that makes deep strategy viable without requiring you to play 24/7. Check in, queue your actions, plan your next move. The game plays while you're away and reports results when you return.

Rounds: Fresh Galaxies, Permanent Records

Every Round is a new galaxy. Fresh sector, no prior resource advantages, every player at an equal starting position. A Round runs for a fixed duration or until one player or alliance achieves 50% galactic control for 24 hours.

When a Round ends, the results are permanent — recorded in the Hall of Fame, available for browsing forever. The Round closes. A new sector opens. The next Round begins with everyone equal again. No carry-over. No snowballing advantages.

Four Races. Four Ways to Win.

Your race determines your strategic profile for the entire Round. Terrans build faster. Khairans research and spy faster. Vaethryn move faster. Korvani hit harder.

Race choice is permanent for the Round. It shapes your build order, your diplomatic relationships, your natural allies, and your vulnerabilities. Master one race before switching.

Fleet Composition Matters

Six standard ship classes plus four specialty vessels. Each ship has a role: Fighters intercept, Destroyers deal damage, Cruisers absorb it, EMP ships disable shields, SK vessels pierce them, Pods colonize.

The best fleet isn't the biggest fleet. It's the fleet whose composition counters the enemy's. Knowing what your opponent is building — and being able to counter it — is half the game.

Intelligence Changes Everything

Espionage in Planetia isn't a minigame. It's a strategic layer. Intel Reports reveal enemy fleet compositions and planet builds. Sabotage destroys structures. Deep Cover plants false information.

The Khairan race excels here. Players who invest in espionage infrastructure know the enemy's plan before the enemy executes it. That knowledge is worth more than any individual fleet engagement.

Alliance Warfare

Up to 20 players per alliance. Shared bank, coordinated fleet actions, combined intel, joint defense protocols. The difference between winning and losing a Round is usually which alliance coordinated better.

Alliance leadership roles are real responsibilities. Bank management, diplomatic contact, fleet coordination. Good alliances have clear roles and clear communication. The galaxy's winning alliances communicate constantly.

Pure Competition

Planetia has a subscription tier for quality-of-life features. It does not sell resources, fleet power, or research advantages. Everything that affects gameplay outcome is earned in-Round by playing well.

The cosmetics store exists. Cosmetics are how we sustain development. But buying a gold hull skin does not make your Battleship hit harder. We made this design decision on day one and it is non-negotiable.

A Galaxy with Three Hundred Years of History

The Planetia universe has a complete cosmology — four race origins, the founding of the Planetia Council, the Round system's philosophical justification, and unresolved mysteries seeded for future story arcs.

The lore is optional. The Round rules don't require reading it. But it's there for players who want the context for why this galaxy works the way it does — and for players who want to know what the Builders left behind.
